Contact Information
In addition to regular contact information, ParaLaw also keeps track of any relationships that the contact has with other contacts or cases. These relationships of course are vital in determining potential conflicts of interest.
Contact Information:
- Five phone numbers (plus company phone numbers)
- Three email addresses
- Unlimited street addresses
- Contact picture
- Related contacts (wife, child, co-worker, etc.)
- Related cases
- Personal information (birthday, alias, citizenship, etc.)
- Billing information
- Documents
- Appointments and Tasks
Phone Numbers:
Each contact can have up to five phone numbers plus a fax number. If a company is listed for the contact, then the first two company phone numbers also appear on the contact's window.
Addresses:
Each contact can have as many addresses as needed. And if two or more contacts live at the same address, the address can be shared among them.... that means you only have to enter it once! Also, if a company is listed for the contact, the company address is automatically included in the contact's list of addresses as well.
Related Contacts and Cases:
Included in the contact window is a list of any other contacts that are related to this one, including the type of relationship (spouse, co-worker, etc.). Another list shows you a complete list of all cases that the contact has been involved with in your firm.
Personal and Billing Information:
Fields are provided for personal information such as birth date, birth name, alias, citizenship, and more. These fields can be marked as "protected" fields help prevent unauthorized users from viewing them. A separate section is provided to enter billing information such as a credit card.
For maximum security, all contact and case information, including credit card information is stored in the database in encrypted form, and is also encrypted when transmitted over your network.
Documents:
Just like with cases, you can create and attach documents to any contact.
